Experience Barbados
From turtles to golf courses, take every opportunity to explore the opportunities this beautiful Island has to offer. Here are just a few suggestions.
Turtles
Barbados is home to a healthy population of hawksbill and leatherback turtles. Once endangered by over-fishing, these great creatures are now protected and monitored throughout the Island. Most turtle tours operate on catamarans and provide an exceptional day out – beautiful coastline, a delicious lunch, rum punches and an opportunity to snorkel and see these magnificent creatures up close.
Activities
Day trips - beach visits, boat trips, swimming with the turtles, international cricket matches and many more exciting trips can all be arranged during your stay
Mullins Beach is on the Platinum Coast of Barbados, the most exclusive part of the Island. Port St. Charles as well as Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland Golf Courses are just a short drive away, along with the David Lloyd Tennis Centre at Sugar Hill. For a little history, don’t miss a trip to the outstanding gardens surrounding St. Nicholas Abbey, an original rum producing sugar plantation, to enjoy a glass of rum on the terrace or maybe the animal flower cave at the north point is well worth a visit!
Sealife
You can expect to see a variety of different sealife on the numerous boat trips offered to visitors on the island or simply swimming on any of the nuermous beaches
Scuba Diving & Snorkelling
On this colorful island, situated about 160 kilometres/100 miles due east of St. Vincent and outside the main arc of the Windward Islands, unique Barbados has snared – literally and figuratively – wayward ships for centuries. With a portfolio of about 200 wrecks, it’s no wonder that Barbados is a dive destination that captures the interest of divers looking for something different
